There are green movements and green organizations at work all over the planet and many of them are based right out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. You might have heard about a few of these if you are living in the west coast and a few of them might have even shown up in passing if you were researching ADT in Vancouver, or the like. These organizations represent humanities effort to change the world for the better and we decided to shine a light on them and discuss the top five briefly.
David Suzuki Foundation
This foundation actively consults with individuals in government and big business in order to educate everyone on the impact they have on the environment and ways they can minimize the negative effects.
Does public and advocacy work to raise awareness regarding environmental issues and encourage changes in both policy and practice with regards to the environment.
This organization makes it their mission to educate businesses and the public alike on the ethical ramifications of their decisions with regards to the environment and food they eat.
This group focuses their research on climate change and finding new and sustainable forms of energy.
Western Canada Wilderness Committee
This grassroots organization is looking to preserve the natural wilderness of Canada through education and research.
