How to Keep Vancouver a Little Greener
Vancouver, Canada is a beautiful place to live, as well as visit. It's got all different forms of weather, beautiful scenery and a nice and safe atmosphere. Though it's already beautiful, there are some things people need to do in order for it to stay that way. How can you keep Vancouver a little greener?
Recycle: Garbage is a huge problem anywhere. There is too much of it, and when you have too much of anything, it usually causes some type of problem. In order to keep garbage a minimal problem, you want to make sure you recycle everything from plastic to paper to aluminum. If there is a recyclable triangle on the bottom, it needs to be recycled.
Avoid emissions: Whenever possible, walk or ride your bike to work or run your errands. Now, if this isn't possible, make sure you at least have a fuel efficient, low emission vehicle that you drive around.
Avoid polluting: Though you will get a ticket if you litter, a lot of us do it anyway. Take time to throw away your trash so that you can keep your surroundings beautiful. Littering is never worth a ticket!
Reuse: Learn to reuse certain items. Whether you take your old shirts and turn them into garage rags or you reuse the back sides of paper, we can all make a difference by just using items for more than one thing.
Get informed: Make sure you get informed on any way you can help the planet. If all of us can take little steps to improve our environment, it will add up to huge steps later on.
